The diffuser
Will it fit my car?
The diffuser clips onto a single vent slat, horizontal or vertical, and fits almost every car with slatted air vents, including most Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Toyota, VW, Ford and Hyundai models. Round turbine vents and joystick-style vents on some Mercedes and Porsche models are the exception. If you are not sure, send us a photo of your vent from the contact page and we will check.
Will the clip damage my vent?
No. The metal clip has rubber-coated prongs and the diffuser weighs 22 g in alloy and 12 g in walnut. It will not scratch, bend or loosen a slat.
Does it block the airflow?
Barely. The diffuser is 20 mm tall and sits over one slat. You will not notice a difference in heating or cooling.
Graphite or Walnut?
Graphite is an alloy body and suits black, grey and silver interiors. Walnut is real wood with the same brushed inlay, made for tan, cognac and wood-trimmed interiors. Both come in either scent.
The scent
Which scent should I pick?
Refreshing Ocean is clean, airy and bright, like the windows down by the coast. Tangerine Cologne is bright citrus over soft woods, fresh and never cloying. Both were composed by a perfumer and share the same warm amberwood and sandalwood base.
How strong is it?
Subtle by design. You notice it when you get in and when the fan comes on, not for the whole drive. If you want more, open the vent fully or run the fan on a higher setting for a few minutes.
How long does it last?
About 30 days with normal daily driving. Heat and a fan on full will use it faster. On the monthly plan the next Aelund arrives before the old one fades.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
The sticks are solid and alcohol-free, with no liquid to spill and no mist, and safe to use during pregnancy. As with any fragrance product, keep spare sticks out of reach of children and pets.
Can I use my own perfume or oil?
Not with the scented sticks. Unscented sticks for your own oils are coming. Join the email list at the bottom of the page and we will tell you when they are ready.
Orders
How much is shipping?
Standard US shipping is $8, and free on orders over $70. Express is $15. Europe ships at the same rates, converted at checkout. See the shipping and returns page for delivery times.
Can I return it?
Yes. Return the diffuser within 30 days of delivery for a refund, as long as it is in its box and unused. Opened fragrance sticks cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
